Amy Winehouse ended up with 5 grammies including Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Vocal Performance and Song of the Year, and Kayne West took home 4 including Best Rap Solo Performance, Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group. The Iphone

Theres been a lot of buzz about the Iphone, apples newest development. They come in 4gb or 8gb models but as of Feb, 5 the 4gb is being discontinued and the 16gb is going to be the largest Iphone. The phone is very impressive with it's touch screen technology, sleek design, web connectivity, and ability to serve as your mp3 player also. Right now its the most innovative item to come out. We can only wait and see to what the competition brings and how Apple reacts.

Google Earth

Google earth is a cool program that works like an interactive map. You can use it to look up any zip code and it will "fly" there. You can look up your own town and even your own street with ease. It uses satellite imagery to look at places and I like how I don' have to use Google maps, because it is a standalone program. There is another cool feature call sky mode with which you can look at constellations, stars, and galaxies. I would advise to check out this free program from Google and the partnership of the Space Telescope Science Institute.

Obama wins CT

Obama won over Clinton in the state of CT. He won the state with a 51%-47% overall standing. Obama pulled off a big win by winning in non diverse towns in CT. This shows that he appeals to a large amount of people. Hopefully he can keep up this streak as the voting continues.

The Switch from Analog to Digital

On February 17, 2009 all analog television broadcasts will stop. After that date television stations will broadcast in digital only. This will yield improved picture and sound quality and free up the spectrum for other things such as public safety communications. To continue using a regular tv people will need to get a converter to pick up the digital channel, or you can get a digital television with which you can avoid the need for a converter box all together.

New York Giants win Superbowl

The underdog has come out on top in this scenario. The New York Giants have shocked the world by defeating the New England Patriots. With a final score of 17-14 , this was a great game for both teams. Eli Manning had a great game as did David Tyree with his amazing catch that set up the game winning touch down but it was amazing that Eli Manning got out of the pocket to begin with. Defense was solid on both sides, and it was a great game to watch.

New G-unit Mixtape

G-unit has a new mixtape called Return of The Body Snatchers, which features some good tracks. This is some of the best material they have put out lately. Young Buck is not on any of the tracks, his verse from the song "Make me feel good" was even removed. 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, and Tony Yayo have all stepped up on this mixtape. There is a good amount of songs that have that classic G-unit sound. Shoot to Kill should be a good album if they come with this consistency. Like a dog, Rider 4 real, Bottom girl, Mechanic, and Be good to me are tracks to look out for.
